M.A.R.C.A., the Museum of Arts in Catanzaro, opened in March 2008, is a multi-purpose museum where ancient art is combined with contemporary language. In the rooms on the ground floor of the museum, there are the Pinacoteca and the Gipsoteca, with a rich collection ranging from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century, from Antonello De Saliba to Mattia Preti, Battistello Caracciolo, Andrea Cefaly and sculptures by Francesco Gerace. The first floor and the basement are intended for temporary exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art.
